Collective Impact: Envisioning the Future of the Junior League of Columbia

Imagine having a virtual lunch break with some of your closest friends and some new ones. During this time, the group discusses the past, present, and what the future of the Junior League of Columbia may look like. This is what it is like to attend a Collective Impact Informational Session:

The groundwork for these informational sessions has been in the works for over a year. Under the direction of our previous president, Rania Jamison, the Junior League of Columbia undertook an intentional look into the League’s activities and impact in the community. A consultant group completed an in-depth needs assessment of the Midlands community in a post-COVID society. The Collective Impact Cohort used the findings of this study to assess the League’s activities and if these were meeting the main needs identified.

The goal of the Collective Impact Cohort is to go a mile deep instead of a mile wide with the League’s work in the community. During these sessions, Members can discuss the current needs the community faces and possible ways the League can deepen its impact alongside other organizations and community members. A collective effort is vital to make sure voices are heard to best move together in this next chapter for the Junior League of Columbia.
