The Junior League of Columbia’s Dress & Tie Drive: Helping Make the First Annual Epworth Prom Event a Fashionable Success

posted on

The Junior League of Columbia’s Healthy Kids in Transition Committee has launched a dress and tie drive to support Epworth Children’s Home’s first annual Epworth Prom event. This initiative aims to provide young people in need with the opportunity to shop for special occasion attire for the prom.

Epworth Children’s Home, a Midlands organization that provides support and services to children and families in need, will partner with Healthy Kids in Transition for its first annual Epworth Prom event. This event is intended to give young people in the organization’s care the opportunity to attend a formal dance, a memorable experience they may not have had otherwise.

The Junior League of Columbia launched a dress and tie drive, collecting clean, gently used formal dresses, suits, ties, and other formal accessories to donate to the young people of Epworth Children’s Home. The drive has received a positive response from the League, with many members donating items to support this worthy cause. Donations will continue to be accepted on weekdays through April 14, 2023 at the League headquarters.

The Dress and Tie drive is just one of the many ways the Junior League of Columbia is working to support Epworth Children’s Home and positively impact the community. Members of the Junior League have also volunteered their time and resources to help organize and facilitate the Epworth Prom event, ensuring that it is a memorable and enjoyable experience for all those who attend.
