It’s been nearly two months since the 5th Annual Slam Dunk Back to School Bash hosted by the Junior League of Columbia and the Ray Tanner Foundation and we are still hearing wonderful feedback about this outstanding event! Held at Eau Claire High School, this one day event helped prepare approximately 435 students enrolled in five Richland One elementary schools for the upcoming school year.

Of the 435 kids who attended, 189 received dental screens, 114 received vision screens, and 83 received hearing screenings. In addition to the health screenings, kids were provided with new school clothing, Under Armour socks, underwear, shoes (sized), toiletries, school supplies, and age appropriate books. They were also given opportunities to participate in activities promoting self-esteem, health, and wellness.
