Junior League of Columbia unveils new mission statement ahead of Centennial anniversary

As its Centennial anniversary approaches, The Junior League of Columbia has updated its mission statement.

The updated mission reads: “The Junior League of Columbia is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.”

The Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI) strove to more succinctly articulate what every League does with the update.

Additionally, AJLI shares that “while what we do has not changed, how we talk about it is now wrapped in language that is more accessible, inviting, and collaborative. It has taken us back to the heart of Junior League founder Mary Harriman’s vision, while setting us up for the next 100 years.”
