The Junior League of Columbia hosted the ABCs for Healthy Children event on October 15, 2022.  The goal of the ABCs for Healthy Children program is to provide children with basic needs by hosting a personal shopping event with league volunteers. Children were invited to shop for an Apple (or another healthy snack), Books, Clothing, and a pair of Shoes with a JLC volunteer. Our  Junior Volunteers were also on hand to lend an additional hand.   The League invested over $7,700 and was able to serve over 110 children who attend three elementary schools in the Midlands. The event was a huge success – and the League looks forward to hosting a spring event in 2023!

ABCs is my favorite community shift.  I love getting to meet the children in our community that the Junior League of Columbia impacts!  The excitement on their faces when they are shopping with us is the best part!
