Thank you for your interest in joining the Junior League of Columbia (JLC)! The mission of the JLC is to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

The application for the 2014-2015 Provisional Class is now closed. We will begin accepting applications for the 2015-2016 Provisional Class on December 1, 2014. The
deadline to apply for membership is February 15, 2015 for the 2015-2016 League year.
Follow these easy steps to apply for membership:
- Submit the prospective member application online.
- Find (1) one Junior League of Columbia main sponsor and (2) two JLC secondary
sponsors and have them submit the JLC Sponsor Form on your behalf. This form is
located on the member side of Digital Cheetah under Membership/Admissions tab.
She may also pick up a paper copy at League Headquarters. Your application will not
be approved until the Admissions Chair receives this form from your Junior League of Columbia main sponsor.
- Once your application and sponsor form are completed and approved, you will pay your provisional course fee and membership dues online. You will receive an e-mail with payment instructions upon approval of your membership.

Prospective Member Criteria
Prospective members must meet the following criteria to be eligible for membership with the JLC.
Be at least 23 years old by April 15
Reside in the Midlands area.
Be enthusiastic and excited about making a difference!
Show an interest in developing her potential for community service.
Have one primary sponsor and two additional sponsors propose her.
Sponsors must be JLC Active or Sustaining members.
Provisional Member Responsibilities
The JLC trains a class of first-year members, known as Provisionals, each year starting in August to prepare them for effective community and League involvement. Provisional members complete a comprehensive training series that allows them the opportunity to develop new friendships, serve the local community, and learn about the JLC's structure and history.
