Healthy Children with Special Needs

Healthy Children with Special Needs has expanded our Family Connection of South Carolina partnership to include Winston’s Wish Foundation, the South Carolina Autism Society, and the Arc of South Carolina to reach a broader audience of children, their families, and caregivers.  This committee will collaborate with all four agencies to provide events and activities around the three JLC focus areas: healthy eating and lifestyle, self confidence, and dental care.  The overall mission of this committee is to provide a platform for networking and socializing with people who have common interests, concerns, and needs. 

Family Connection of South Carolina
The vision of Family Connection is that children with special healthcare needs will have a supportive environment to reach their full potential.  Their mission is to strengthen and encourage families of children with special healthcare needs through parent support.

Winston’s Wish Foundation
The mission of Winston's Wish Foundation is to enable South Carolina's children with autism and their families to thrive.  They support and advocate for early intensive intervention which is evidence-based and peer-reviewed.  Its programs and outreach initiatives demonstrate the organization's commitment to education, inclusion, and access to appropriate medical care, which reflect best practices in autism treatment.
