New Member Mad Platter Social

The painting was fun and all of the artists were “mad” with creativity! On Friday, November 17, 2023, the Junior League of Columbia hosted a New Member Social at the Mad Platter ceramics paint studio on Millwood Avenue. With a relaxed atmosphere and great studio space, all fourteen New Members in attendance had the chance to get to know each other on a more personal level while painting their chosen pottery pieces and enjoying snacks.

Did you know? New Members or Transfer Members of the Junior League of Columbia do not have a Placement for their first year of service.

This allows New Members the chance to meet fellow Members and learn more about the Junior League while also easily transitioning into it. A Placement refers to a yearly assignment given to every actively servicing League Member. Placements ultimately allow League Members to work together to accomplish its mission of positive community involvement through service and volunteerism.

Special thanks to the Mad Platter, and New Member Committee Members, Kirby Cranford and Samantha Owen. Thank you to Kirby for coordinating the event and Samantha for setting up.
