The Done in a Day Committee of the Junior League of Columbia is dedicated to making a positive impact in the community by providing quick, meaningful support to local organizations in need. Through a combination of volunteer efforts and funding, this committee helps bring resources and assistance to a wide range of causes.

One of my most memorable experiences with the Done in a Day Committee this year was participating in the Salvation Army of the Midlands with their annual Christmas event. Volunteering to organize toys and help fulfill children’s Christmas wishes truly warmed my heart. It was incredibly rewarding to know that our efforts helped bring joy and make the holiday season brighter for children in need. Being able to contribute to such a meaningful cause, and seeing firsthand the impact we had on families, was a deeply fulfilling experience that reinforced the importance of community service.

Looking ahead, the committee is excited to participate in the Richland Library Free Fest in March, continuing to make a difference in the lives of those in need throughout the Midlands.
